BGC Nassau News

Congratulations to April Youths of the Month!

Harper Thorpe is only 8 years old but has the understanding and the capacity of a much older child. She is truly a joy to be around and a very big fan of the Boys & Girls Club. There is no room at the Miller Club she loves more than the gym where she can be as loud as she wants and can run around and play. Harper just recently started Jujutsu and is absolutely loving it. Also, she is a fan of math! Harper loves pets and has 2 hermit crabs and a cat at home. When she grows up she really wants to be a lifeguard. Until then she loves playing on her phone and hanging out with her friends.

Luke Hale is a very intelligent and creative Club member and has been a member since 2017. Luke is very tech savvy and helps other members of the Roberts Club trouble shoot minor issues on myOn reader and other applications. He builds some amazing LEGO structures and guides other members with building projects. He is a model student and does peer tutoring when he has free time. He aspires to be a Cartoonist, so you can often find him sitting quietly drawing and creating his own comic book flip strips.
Luke’s favorite program at the club is The Technology Lab & STEM since it helps him learn to be creative & express his imagination. His other favorite things include studying math, the color green, basketball, Tom Brady, the band “The Weekend” and the book “Wings of Fire”.
