Clara Miller, President
Clara Miller has been involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County Foundation for 20 years. Her father received the call to action to create the first club in Yulee in 1999 and Clara, along with her siblings and family, have remained deeply committed to this organization. Clara has spent her working life climbing the corporate ladder as a District Manager for JCPenny Stores. Now retired, she splits her time between Amelia Island, which she calls home, and traveling with one of her triplet sisters.
In Clara’s words…
All it takes is a tour of one of our Clubs and seeing the smiles on the faces of the children we serve to become passionate about our mission. I love the diversity of the youth who participate in our programs, and I know that our after-school activities provide them with a safe place to learn, grow, and build a brighter future. It was always my father’s dream to ensure that children in Nassau County had a safe and supportive place to go after school, and he believed that establishing a local Boys & Girls Club was the best way to make that vision a reality. Serving in leadership roles on the Foundation Board has given me the privilege of continuing the work and progress he began in 1999.
