Garden Party Benefit Community Thanks

On behalf of every Club member, parent, and staff of Boys & Girls Clubs of Nassau County, I want to thank everyone who joined together at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, for the 14th Annual Benefit and first ever “Garden Party.”  Because of your generosity, we are able to ensure that our doors will be open for summer camp this year and that we can continue with our expansion plans with a pilot program in the Callahan/Hilliard area of the County as soon as Covid restrictions allow. 

This event’s success was due in large part to the Benefit Committee member’s efforts, including Rose Baugh our Auction Chair, Joan Sheppard, Cindy Dickinson, Antoinette Richter, Jen Edgington, Claire Cameron, Andrew Schmidt, Nancy Graham, and Stan Cottle. Scott Berglund of the Ritz-Carlton was instrumental in helping us realize our dream of an outdoor event.  This team’s effort helped make the afternoon a very special occasion!

More than 40 of you generously gave items and gift certificates for our silent auction helping to make it such a success. Also, a special thank you to Harris Teeter, Anything With Plants & Flowers, and Our Volunteers.  Finally, we owe a debt of gratitude to our Master of Ceremony and Auctioneer, Bradley Bean who was a major contributor to the success of the afternoon. 

We are truly grateful for the support shown by our community for this annual event and the vote of confidence in our mission to give every Nassau County youth the opportunity for a great future.
