Clubs & Programs for Teens

The Boys & Girls Clubs Teen programs are designed specifically for ages 13-18 to provide meaningful experiences so teens are ready to chase their future dreams. Did you know that 80% of Club alumni said the Club had a positive impact on their attitude toward fitness and health? This is according to a Harris study.

GREAT TEEN PROGRAMS …

We all know teens today face unique challenges. The Boys and Girls Clubs of Nassau County support teens in our community as they face those challenges through The Club Teen Program. Our Mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

With a staff and exclusively tailored program focused on the specific needs of youth ages 13 to 18, The Club is a dynamic, dedicated space inside each Boys & Girls Club Nassau Club facility that provides hands-on education geared toward preparing teens for success in school, higher education, the workplace, and in life.

All programming and experiences are focused on giving teens the exposure and support they need to make positive choices and to go on to be successful adults.

Tipping the Scales: A partnership with Baptist Health Foundation and Baptist Nassau Hospital. This is an on-going, year-round program that provides BGC members ages 13-18 the opportunity to participate in a weekly, one-hour experience at Baptist Nassau. Teens and mentors make a 50-week commitment. Teens learn about health care functions, develop personal skills and spiritual awareness. The weekly rotating curriculum allows participants to meet with a Baptist employee mentor for a full circle experience. Baptist provides a weekly cash stipend of $10 and, with reliable annual performance, the opportunity to apply for summer employment.
